Cathy Cousin

Cathy has been with Bedford Field Hockey for 14 years.  She has an extensive background playing and coaching field hockey. She played for SUNY Cortland 1982-1986 and then coached at Ossining High School 1986-1994.   Cathy is famous for having five sons – all of whom are talented athletes.

Debbi Walsh

Debbi joined Bedford Field Hockey in 2010. She was appointed the Varsity Head Coach for John Jay High School field hockey in July 2016.  Prior to then, she was the John Jay modified coach from  2012 – 2015.   Her passion for the sport was reignited once her daughter started playing.  Debbi played for Fairfield University from 1984 – 1988.  Having raised three daughters, Debbi embraces each female athlete as her own.

  Louisa Polos

Louisa is thrilled to have joined the Bedford Field Hockey program in 2014. She has coached field hockey and lacrosse at Holy Child, Sacred Heart in Greenwich, CT and Rippowan Cisqua, in addition to teaching responsibilities.  Louisa earned her M.S.E. in Curriculum and Teaching from Fordham University and her B.A. in Political Science from Gettysburg College. She is also a graduate of John Jay High School where she played varsity field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse.

Brooks Eleck

Brooks is proud to be a member of the Bedford Field Hockey program.  Her involvement in the program was inspired by her daughter’s excitement about this wonderful group of coaches and players where they first started playing in 2017. In addition to coaching for Bedford Field Hockey, Brooks is a teacher and field hockey and lacrosse coach at Rippowam Cisqua School in Bedford, NY. She has been coaching at Rippowam since 2008.
